Meet Alexandria Gold, the creator behind Ria Art World! A world of whimsical illustrations and miniature crochet characters that aim to make her audience smile and warm their hearts. However she chooses to share their stories, this is a world sure to be enjoyed by both the young and old.

Alexandria was born in Portland, Oregon where rainy days inspired a love of creativity from a young age. She moved to San Francisco where she currently resides, and every day is an opportunity to be creative as her mascots, Mr. Orange and Arty Heart, cheer her on. If she’s not drawing or crocheting, she can be found shipping Etsy orders, at the gym or having a cuddle with her white cat, Burmew.

She is the illustrator of children’s books such as A New Leash on Life and A Tail of Two Friends.  Alexandria has also exhibited around the Bay Area at places such as Trickster Gallery, The Stillwell and The Academy of Art Spring Show. Ria Art’s miniature crochet characters are currently featured in a show by Resobox in New York and are at Petite Galleria in San Jose, California.

Alexandria is a SCBWI member and is represented by Natalie Lakosil at the Bradford Literary Agency.
